Ms. Shreejana Pokhrel, Executive Director at INHURED International holds LLM in International Human Rights Law  from University  of Essex with specialization on Public International Law, International Law of Armed Conflict, Detention in International Law, International Criminal Law and Transitional Justice. In addition to this, she also holds MA on International NGO studies from Sungkonghoe University, South Korea with specialization in International Relation, Peace and Global Politics, Global Feminism, Migration Studies. Currently, she is practitioner working exclusively on the issues of Women Peace and Security, GESI, Forced Migration, Migration Management and Transitional Justice.Ms. Pokhrel has 18 years of meaningful experience working for National/International Human Rights organizations along with Specialized Intergovernmental Organization. She has been engaged in different high level steering committee on different thematic areas of human rights concern. On the different note, she also has experience working very closely with UN Human Rights Committee under individual complaint mechanism on the issues of gross violations of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. 

DESCRIPTION

Advocate Mr. Bidur Prasad Adhikari is recognized by his short name as BP Adhikari. He stands himself as a resilient academician, researcher and training oriented advocate in the field of human rights. As a human rights defender, he has worked under exceptionally difficult circumstances during the decade-long internal armed conflict of Nepal to safeguard fundamental civil liberties through national and international advocacy and campaign.

Court Practice Experience: Advocate Mr. Adhikari is a familiar name for law fraternity in Nepal. He has been rigorously engaged in court practices right after achieving license from Nepal Bar council. He holds his best practice experience as a Public Interest Litigation lawyer. He has been actively drafting, registering and pleading PIL cases as a chief litigator in Supreme Court. Some of his writ petitions are the petition filed on behalf of “Undocumented Tibetan Refugees.” On this writ petition, Mr. Adhikari is succeeded to give court’s verdict on behalf of Tibetan refugees who were denied by government to give basic documents referring their RC (Refugee Card). From this verdict, First Generation Tibetan Refugees holding RC card can give recognition to their young generation as a Tibetan Refugees residing in Nepal.

Correspondingly, as a human rights defender he has obtain positive outcome in the writ petition of Colonel Raju Basnet Vs Government of Nepal. In this case, Colonel Raju Basnet was promoted by the cabinet meeting of October 2012. However, Raju Basnet was accused of gross human rights violator by National Human Rights Commission and Office of United Nation High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) as a result they demand his suspension from Nepal Government. With the combine effort, proof of the evidence, litigation and rigorous defense, government promoted him. This was the case registered by INHURED International on behalf of victims in Supreme Court of Nepal, 2012. Nevertheless, he was proactive in the writ petition against Nepal Government on behalf of reproductive rights of the prisoners. On this case, Supreme Court delivered a landmark decision for the prisoners having reproductive rights.

Election Observation Experience:  Advocate Mr. Adhikari has vibrant and long-time election observation knowledge on national and international election through the observation mission. He got opportunity to be deployed as a long-term International Election Observer of Thai Election 2011. Similarly, he has observed and closely monitored national elections since 1994 to present in different part of Nepal.

Academic Background: Advocate Mr. Adhikari holds Master Degree in Sociology/Anthropology from Tribhuwan University (2008) and Bachelor of Law (2010) from Tribhuwan University.  In addition to this he has also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Victimology and Victim Assistance Program from Tokiwa University (Japan) in 2008.

Professional Background: Advocate Mr. Adhikari has twodecadeslong working experience in the field of human rights. He has started his career in 2001 as a Sub-editor in Kasthamandap Weekly. Later on, he was appointed as a researcher on "Armed Conflict and its Diverse Impact" in Himalayan Human Rights Monitors from 2003- 2004. Continuous effort and enthusias later he became senior human rights officer in same organization till 2007.  Thereafter, he was appointed as an Advocacy Director in INHURED International from 2007 to 2013. Subsequently, he was working as Project Director in INHURED International from 2015 to 2019.

Advocate Sabina Dhakal, Project Coordinator at INHURED International is pursuing double master degree (LLM) from Tribhuvan University affiliated college named National Law College. She holds additional master degree from DKMC in English literature and two bachelor degrees in Law and social work. Regarding her experience, she has been evolved in humanitarian field since past six years especially for the advocacy of weak and marginalized section of the society. She acquires multiple internship experience and job experience from different non-governmental organizations of Nepal like: Koshish Nepal, CAC-Nepal, Child Development Society and so on. Nevertheless, she is one of the Professional Fellow of United States Department in 2019 where she simultaneously worked and learned about the refugee reintegration and resettlements procedures from Ethiopian Community Development Council, Arlington, VA, US.

Mr. Pasang Sherpa has been working as a Admin and Finance Officer at INHURED International since January 2016. His job includes preparation of all financial transactions, organization’s operational activities under the organization policy and budget head of the projects.

Ms. Rupa Poudel, Admin and Finance Officer, has been working at INHURED from October 2017. Her job covers budget preparation, management activities, financial analysis ,record and update of financial activities along with all kinds of administrative affairs of the organization.

Ms. Sushila Limbu is a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at INHURED International.

Her job includes monitoring and ensuring high quality and timely inputs, and to make sure that the project maintains its strategic vision and that its activities result in the achievement of its intended outputs in a cost effective and timely manner. Likewise, assisting project coordinator to enhance both internal and external capacity of the project team/partners. 

She has been with the organization since January 2015.

Mr. Saroj Phuyal works as a Public Relation Officer at INHURED International. He has been associated with INHURED since January 2015. His job includes liaising with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and emails.

Ms. Maiya Maharjan has been working as an Office Assistant in INHURED International since 2006.

Ms. Maharjan assists in administrative duties, including greeting guests, answering phones, handling organization inquiries, sorting distributing mails as per organization's needs, and providing lunch and beverages to the office staffs and guests.
